In our modern world, technology is everywhere, changing how we live our lives. This shift has even affected the people we look up to. We used to inspire from philanthropists, freedom fighters, and people who brought change to society. But now, a new set of heroes has appeared: tech leaders. And it's not just our inspirations, our movies are more about technology too. This means we have influence of technolgy in every aspect of our life. This might not be a shock, as trends usually follow what's popular.
Witnssing so mainstream effect of technology, it's shouldn't be surprise seeing people pursing it and want to make a career out of it. So is happening, a lot of students are inclined towards
technology when opting for higher degrees. In past decade, enrollment in Engineering programs has gone high.
JOBS
But here's where it gets surprising: not all of them want to take techjobs. It's surprising to notice how they joined engineering and wanted to become techleaders but halfway the fuel ended up. This isn't just something I've noticed at my college; it's happening in many places. When talking to such people, one can find that they are not willing and passionate enough to take it as their career option and if they want soo it's either there will to get financially independent or it's what everyone else is doing.
OTHER OPTIONS
But a ray of hope comes into the picture, these students are willing to find out what they're truly passionate about during their college time. They have the curosity to explore new fields and let them choose the one they are passionate about. Maybe it's the result of this curosity that engineers are doing well in all the fields. Remembering the first day of college when the director said something important. He told us that these four years would teach us more than just technical skills. They would also help us become problem solvers, ready for any job.
Seeing engineers excelling in fields like Politics(Arvind kejrewal, Manohar parrikar), Cinema(Rowan Atkinson, Sonu sood), Writer(Chetan Bhagat), Musician(Shankar Mahadevan) and Cricketers(Anil Kumble), proves it.
TECH MINDS
But everyone doesn't want to make this switch. Even there are many who are tech enthusiasts who want to learn technology and help mankind. Mentioning personalities who shifted their career from engineering, it's also important to mention those who have made technology reach new levels. Engineers like Elon Musk(CEO of Tesla), Satya Nadella(CEO of Microsoft), Sundar Pichai(CEO of Google), Narayan Murthy(CEO of infosys) , Steve Jobs(Founder of Apple) and many are some of the best engineering minds that made a deep and lasting impact on mankind that has made us reach news heights in field of technology.
CONCLUSION
So, in the end, it's up to each person to choose what they want to do. Whether it's engineering or something else, it should be your choice, not just what's popular. As technology keeps changing our world, you can find your own path, and that's what really matters.
